The memory of Heydar Aliyev, national leader of the Azerbaijani nation, was commemorated in Bucharest

Staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania and SOCAR's subsidiary in Romania Socar Petroleum SA, as well as our compatriots living in Romania, visited the bust of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in Tei Park on the 21st anniversary of his passing, laid wreaths and flowers in front of it and commemorated the memory of the great leader.

Delivering a speech in front of our compatriots, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Romania Gudsi Osmanov spoke about life and activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev, noted his invaluable services in preservation, establishment and development of independent Azerbaijan.

The Ambassador noted the path of stable development set by the Great Leader and successful continuation of his political course by President Ilham Aliyev, talked of our country's leading role in the region, including holding prestigious international events and meetings, implementation of large-scale energy and transport projects.

Afterwards, the participants viewed the exhibition dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania.
